About 1980, I built two loudspeakers from a kit of parts, comprising the bass and treble speaker units, and bitumen damping sheets and wadding, provided by Wilmslow Audio. The cabinets I made from plywood cut by a wood supply shop in Rochester.

These served me well, but a few years ago i decided to demolish them, but kept the driver units.

An attempt at rebuilding the speakers,

but arriving at the wrong dimensions,

as I had lost the book

with the construction plans,

I only got as far as making

the front baffles

The Salvaged driver units

So I decided to contact Wilmslow Audio,

and see if they had the plans of the Loudspeaker,

and fortunately they were able to come up

with the original article from HI-FI for pleasure magazine

I worked out a cutting plan

for the reconstructed loudspeakers

I was able to use the existing

incorrectly dimensioned baffles,

and carefully cut and spliced them

to the correct dimensions.

The hole for the port was still too large,

but I found a way of reducing its diameter
