The Beacon Court Tavern, on its corner site, wedged between Copenhagen Road and Trafalgar Street.                   .

The address is given as 126 Canterbury Street, Gillingham or, also 1 Copenhagen Road, New Brompton in 1903 & earlier

The pub seems to date from the 1860s                                                                                                                        .

Canterbury Street, was formerly Beacon Court Lane. There was also a Beacon Court Farm nearby in the 19th century

The name “beacon” seems to refer to a warning beacon hereabouts in the 16th century.

the pub was demolished in early 2019
